Easy Southern Peach Cobbler

"um...don't let yours overcook like I did the first time, ok? haha! Making a delicious dessert doesn't have to be hard or time consuming. Just come from the kitchen carrying this recipe with flour on your brow and looking as if you've been baking for hours and the family will worship you. Well, the reality is they'll be too busy enjoying this cobbler to notice you, but that's ok. I'm giving you the recipe for peaches, but try apples if you wish! Just think, cinnamon and vanilla flavoring with apple and nutmeg and almond flavoring for peaches. Got it? It's delish! OH!!! If I catch you using canned fruit I will haunt you and make spooky telepathic noises in your kitchen when you're home alone! Enjoy!!"

 1. Divine! My oven runs hot so I only put it in for 30 minutes, YMMV. Also I used canned peaches (not haunted... yet, although the cobbler did disappear) and boiled the syrup down with some sugar till it was thick for a sauce.

 2. This was absolutely delicious. I didn't have any peaches so I substituted pears (and used 4 cups not 2) Following the rest of the instructions exactly, it turned out great!!!! I am sure this will be my favorite cobbler recipe from now on. I will use whatever fruit I have on hand. Thanks Adrienne!!

 3. This recipe held up to the billing of 'Easy'. I did make one change, I used Splenda instead of sugar; it still came out tasting wonderfull. I would make one suggestion - increase the amount of peaches; 1 1/2 to 2 cups just barely covered the bottom of my 2 quart baking dish. I think 2 1/2 to 3 cups of peaches would make this cobbler MUCH better. I plan to try that the next time I make this dish.

I did bake mine for the full 45 minutes with no burning.

 4. Absolutely delicious! Thanks for posting. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfect. This is a new favorite in our house. I got the "raised eyebrow" look from my BF so I know he likes it!
